FOOD SAFETY
Many foods are still safe beyond the dates printed on the products. Agape follows established food safety guidelines with respect to those dates. Volunteers are trained in these guidelines and the pantry director is "ServSafe" certified. The guidelines we follow are found at the Feeding America Southwest Virginia website:

Meats from grocery stores are frozen on or before their sell dates and kept frozen before distribution.
